GPS technology allows the Phantom Proactive Tracking System to locate your stolen caravan around the clock aiding the police to rapidly recover your caravan.

The tracking device is hidden away inside the van an impossible to detect. An array of GPS satellites track your van and relay its location to a call centre. Once you have obtained a crime number (this is done simply by calling 999) this is used alongside the GPS location to help the police recover your caravan.

The Phantom Tracking System holds the Sold Secure Gold badge and has the honour of being the first to do so in the UK. The security system standard, Thatcham also gives it a Q listing.

In the moment the caravan’ existing alarm (or optional Phantom sensors available as an optional extra) is triggered the call centre receives a message and starts to track the caravan informing the police of its location once it has called you to confirm its not a false alarm. Up to 3 contact numbers can be provided. The optional sensor is covertly placed at the time of fitting and can be turned off whilst you are using the caravan. The sensor can be configured to not pick up internal movements and only trigger when being moved.

The device uses the leisure battery and consumes very little power. It would take at least 6 months to use up a 85A battery. The device comes with emergency back up batteries of 48 hours and should its power be cut then this will trigger the alarm. Stolen caravans are recovered normally within an impressive 2 hours.

The device is not only limited to the UK but also works in Europe, giving you extra peace of mind when on holiday. Should you buy a new caravan then simply transfer the tracking device over to your new caravan. Moreover the tracking system is recognised by most insurance companies and most companies will give a discount if you have a Phantom Tracking System fitted. Many insurance companies now require caravans over a certain price to be fitted with a tracking system.
